50 PERCENT TRANSPORTATION REDUCTION BY PRESIDENT TINUBU, GOOD PALLIATIVE GESTURE- Dr AJAYI                                                           25-12-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,’ s 50 percent transportation reduction during the Christmas celebration ,has been described as a good palliative, that would reduced high cost of transportation fare, as well serve as a relief during the festival period especially to those people traveling to various places .

Reverend ( Dr.) Armstrong Ola Ajayi, of First Baptist Church, Kano,disclosed this during an interview with Africa 247 correspondent in Kano.

He said the announcement of 50 percent transportation reduction across the country came at a right time .

” I would say that this is the first time ,I would hear and witness such a gesture ,especially from the Federal government of this country adding that many people were happy with the announcement.”

Reverend ( Dr.) Armstrong Ola Ajayi said the 50 percent transportation reduction, would go along way In easing the hardship people were facing interms of high cost of transport fares.

Aside of that the Federal government also made traveling by rail to be free, noting that all these would afford many people who could not afford traveling,  to embarked on traveling ,as they would only pay a 50 percent of their traveling fare.

While commenting on Christmas celebration, Dr.Ajayi stated that the significance of Christmas, is to show love to fellow human being, because the  Jesus Christ, we were celebrated today  preaches  love and caring for others

The Christmas celebration would be meaningless to we Christian, if such a Christian failed to remember those less privileged people in our surrounding adding we have to extended the sane love of what Almighty God has given to us to them.

Dr.Ajayi further called on Christian to reach out to less privileged people ,who were facing one problem or other to give them our widows mite ,so that they also we celebrate the festival from the gift given to them.

He however called on the teeming masses of the country, irrespective of religion or tribal affiliations to be praying for the present government to succeed in its task of taking the nation. to a greater height.
