DEFENCE MINISTER BADARU FLAGS-OFF CONSTRUCTION OF 1,500 HOUSES IN JIGAWA STATE                                                                                                      21-01-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                    The Minister of Defence Alhaji Badaru Abubakar has led the groundbreaking for the construction of mass housing scheme at Fanisau Dutse, the jigawa state capital.

The minister who is the special guest of honour at the event, described the project embarked on by Governor Umar Namadi as a manifestation of commitment and good intention to take Jigawa state to the next level.

The housing project comprises 1,500 units, which will be constructed across the state, with the state capital, Dutse, taking 600 housing units.

The Minister commended the effort by Governor Namadi’s administration in the state towards the development of the state, saying that this has vindicated him for supporting Mallam Umar Namadi to be the governor of Jigawa State.

He said Governor Umar Namadi has built from their legacy, many projects and programs that touched the lives of Jigawa electorates have been execute in the last eight months.

In his speech, the state Governor Malam Umar Namadi said the construction of the 1,500 houses is part of his government’s commitment to providing affordable houses to the people of the state in line with his12 point agenda.

He pointed out that, the project has multiple social and economic advantages as more job opportunities, and employment will be generated besides more provision of accommodations.

The Governor explained that the houses will be built in five emirate cities and three major urban towns in Dutse, Hadejia, Kazaure, Gumel, Ringim, Birnin Kudu, Babura and Kafin Hausa.

“The mass Housing project will be executed in phases according to their 12-point agenda, and we will make sure quality jobs for achieving the desired goals.

Governor Namadi explained that this is part of his campaign promises, which have been crystallized into a 12-point agenda blueprint.

He added that more houses will be constructed across the state during his tenure.
