OVER 10,000 YOUTH ACROSS 10 STATES OF THE FEDERATION BENEFITED FROM EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMS GRANTS                                                       01-02-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     Over Ten thousand community youths across 10 states of the federation have benefited from empowerment programs grants to boost their Art creativity in sculpture, hair and bead making, fashion designing and food production.

The program by the Stability and Sustenance Business and Entrepreneurship Platform in partnership with the National Youth Service Corp is aimed at empowering youths with creative minds and boosting their business for economic growth.

It is also geared at supporting the efforts of the federal government in job creation and youth empowerment.

One of the youths, Mr John Edom from Cross River State said the program has not just encouraged him to be more creative in producing home decorations and lamps stands using waste products but has helped him to contribute to the climate change campaign through recycling.

Similarly a bead maker and youth corp members from Oyo state Ms Olajire Oyedokun who is one of the grant beneficiary of the program thanked the organizers of the initiative and narrated how she utilized the grant.

The founder of the Stability and Sustenance Business and Entrepreneurship Platform, Mr Fidel Melony help with social economic challenges through mentorship, called for the federal government’s support to improve and expand the program to others states.

The convener of the program called on more youths who have desires to be creative and productive to key into the program for more sustainable and creative ideas.
