By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The North East Development Commission (NEDC) recently disclosed that it has successfully executed 134 projects across various sectors in Taraba State.

The disclosure was made by the Managing Director/CEO of the Commission, Alh Muhammed Alkali, during a courtesy visit to Governor Agbu Kefas in Jalingo, the state capital.

Alkali stated that the purpose of the visit was to introduce the newly inaugurated members of the board who will monitor the ongoing projects in the region.

He further explained that most of the projects have been completed and are ready to be handed over to the beneficiaries, while some are still ongoing and are expected to be completed within the stipulated period.

Additionally, Alkali revealed that the commission would execute more infrastructure projects in the State within 2024.

Governor Agbu Kefas, in his response, commended the NEDC for its commitment to project execution and pledged the full collaboration and support of the state government to ensure that the commission achieves its mandate.

Dr. Kefas also called on all relevant stakeholders to join hands with the state government in achieving the desired development of Taraba State.

In conclusion, the visit by the NEDC is a testament to the commission’s dedication to the development of the northeast region and Taraba State in particular.

“The commission’s proactive steps towards collaborating with the state government and relevant stakeholders are laudable and have been duly noted,” he added.
