CAS SAYS NAF RECORDS SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT MAKING IT MORE EFFICIENT IN SECURING THE NATION’S TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY                                                                                        27-03-24

       By Sadiq Aminu                                                         The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar says the Nigerian Air Force has recorded a significant improvement making it more efficient in securing the nation’s territorial integrity through more Air Surveillance and giving assistance to sister agencies.

Air Marshal Abubakar made this known during his visit to the Logistics Command, Operational Units and Formations in Lagos.

The Logistic Command of the Nigerian Air force was established in 1982 to make adequate provision for all the logistics components of a fighting force including procurement maintenance, sustenance of facilities and equipments.

Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar during the visit said the Nigerian Air force started when they had no platform or training facilities, but depended on foreign assistance, but now can boast of different types of Aircraft and over twenty Five thousand officers and men with basis in all the geopolitical zones.

The Chief of Air Staff noted that the Error of bombing innocent citizen during operation is now a thing of the past as the Nigerian Air force has learnt from past mistakes.
Air Marshal Abubakar stressed that the Nigerian Air force established for conventional warfare but due to the current realities has adapted rapidly to the current situation.

The CAS was accompanied by senior officers as he visited some formations and inaugurated some facilities.
