NSCDC IN ANAMBRA STATE DEPLOYS 951 PERSONNEL TO ENSURE ADEQUATE SECURITY DURING THE EID-EL-FITRI CELEBRATION                                                                                                       08-04-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Anambra State has deployed nine hundred and fifty one of its personnel to ensure adequate security before and after the Eid-El-Fitr celebration in the state.

The Commandant of the Corps in the state, Mr Olatunde Maku in a move to tighten the noose around criminals and their evil activities ordered the deployment of the personnel across the twenty one Local Government Areas of the state.

He gave the directive today ( 8/4/24) through an Operational Order issued to all Area Commanders and Divisional Officers, as well as Heads of Formation and tactical units, instructing them to ensure sufficient security coverage and peaceful conduct of the Sallah celebrations in the state.

According to him, proactive and robust anti-crime measures, including deployment of tactical and intelligence assets of the command are already in place to prevent any ugly incident in and around the state.

Mr Maku said, the command had mobilized operatives to cover all nooks and crannies of the state, which included Eid praying grounds , recreational centres, and other public places.

The Public Relations Officer of the command,Mr Edwin Okadigbo in a release said Mr Maku urged residents of the state to be vigilant, observe security and safety tips, as well as collaborate with NSCDC and other security agencies to avert any breach of peace in the interest of the state and congratulated them on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
