By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to eradicate banditry in Zamfara State, ordering the deployment of additional troops and a continued military offensive against the criminal elements.

In a meeting at his Lagos residence with a delegation led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of addressing the security challenges facing Zamfara State. During the discussion, Governor Dauda Lawal briefed the President on the progress made in combating banditry and the ongoing military operations in the state.

President Tinubu assured Governor Lawal of his unwavering commitment to ending the scourge of banditry in Zamfara. He underscored his directive for a sustained military onslaught against the bandits and the reinforcement of troops in the region.

The President emphasized the need for continuous updates from Governor Lawal on the security situation in Zamfara State to facilitate effective collaboration in the fight against banditry.

This statement from the spokesperson for the Zamfara Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, highlights the collaborative efforts between the federal and state governments in tackling the menace of banditry in the region.
