NIGERIAN ARMY INAUGURATES NEW SEMI- PERMANENT ACCOMMODATIONS FOR THE 382 ARTILLERY REGIMENT AT THE NIGERIAN ARMY CANTONMENT IN GUSAU                                                                                               24-05-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                      Brigadier General Sani Ahmed, Commander of the 1 Brigade Nigerian Army, Gusau who commissioned the accommodation, expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff for improving living conditions for army personnel.

He highlighted that these new facilities will enhance troops morale and operational efficiency, crucial for the army’s ongoing fighting against security challenges.

General Ahmed called on personnel to remain dedicated to combating banditry and other threats while maintaining professionalism.

Lieutenant Colonel Urukwe Ando, who provided a history of the 382 Artillery Regiment, noted its strategic importance and the recent authorization to address artillery support shortfalls in the area. He emphasized the new accommodation’s role in boosting soldiers’ well-being and sense of unity.

Both General Ahmed and Lt. Col. Ando thanked key contributors and urged diligent maintenance of the new facilities. The ceremony was attended by senior military leaders, including Brigadier General Ahmed and Lt. Col. Ando among others.
