A TOTAL OF 1,943 OUT OF 3,201 PILGRIMS FROM NIGER STATE ARRIVES SAUDI ARABIA FOR THE HAJJ                                                                                                                                08-06-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                A total of one thousand nine hundred and forty three intending pilgrims from Niger state out of the three thousand two hundred and one have so far been airlifted to Saudi Arabia in five seperate flights to perform this year’s hajj.

They were transported to the King Abdul aziz International Airport Jedda, Saudi Arabia from the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport Minna, Niger state by fly Nas.

The fourth and fifth batches took place on Friday and Saturday consecutively consisting of eight hundred and eighty five pilgrims from five local government areas of Mashegu, Agwara, Borgu, Chanchaga and Agaie.

Addressing Newsmen before their departure at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport Minna, Executive Secretary Niger state Pilgrims Welfare Board Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Aliyu expressed optimism that that twenty twenty four hajj exercise will be a huge success.

Accoding to him the support accorded to the Board by Governor Mohammed Umar Bago has been encouraging stressing that they will redouble efforts at reciprocating the gesture towards achieveing an acceptable hajj.

Meanwhile the six batch of pilgrims from Niger state is expected to take off Sunday early in the morning as the screening of pilgrims is in progress.
