JAMB TO HOST 2024 POLICY MEETING ON ADMISSIONS                                                                                                                                   17-06-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB is to host the 2024 Policy Meeting on Admissions into tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

The meeting, which is to be chaired by the Minister of Education, Professor Mamman Tahir, would have other critical stakeholders in the education sector in attendance.

These include Heads of regulatory agencies such as the National University Commission, National Board for Technical Education, National Council for Colleges of Education, Heads of tertiary institutions in the country, and the National Youth Service Corps.

The policy meeting formulates guidelines for admission, presents application statistics and candidates’ performance evaluation in the current year’s UTME to determine the minimum admissible score for all tertiary institutions across the country for the given year.

Also, the meeting would appraise stakeholders of the salient issues that cropped up in the course of the previous year’s admission exercise.
