KANO STATE GOVERNMENT INVESTS N3BN IN CLASSROOM INFRASTRUCTURE                                                                                                 26-06-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                              The Kano State Government has announced plans to spend over N3 billion on building new blocks of classrooms across the 44 local government areas.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf made this known during a stakeholders’ meeting held at Government House, Kano.

He said the government aims to create a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning by building additional classrooms and renovating dilapidated ones.

The Governor noted that Over 17,000 security personnel will be employed across the state to ensure the safety of primary school facilities, with 400 personnel per local government.

“The local security personnel would be employed from the locality were the primary schools were located aimed at ensuring effective service delivery”

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf maintained that Each local government will receive N25 million for renovation, with the Universal Basic Education board supervising the project to ensure quality.

He added that the investment demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving education infrastructure and providing a better learning experience for students.
