By Sadiq Aminu                                                                    The Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC has presented N1.911 trillion (One Point nine One One trillion) 2024 Budget Proposal for the NDDC
Presenting the Budget Proposal before the House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission, the Managing Director of the NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, said the Budget is aimed at improving sustainable economic development in the region.
Dr. Ogbuku who said that the budget is Theme as “Budget of Renewed Hope” explained that one trillion naira to fund the ongoing Legacy projects of the commission in the 2024 would be sourced from the development Commercial Banks.
The Managing Director of the NDDC said the commission has embarked on reforms and programs that would transform the well-being and infrastructural development of the region.
He said the management of the commission is committed to delivery of inclusive growth and to improved the well-being of the people of the region.
Earlier, the Chairman House Committee on NDDC Mrs. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, while commending the NDDC for its remarkable infrastructure development in the region called for more execution of human centre projects to address the plights of the people of the region.
