GOVERNOR BUNI INAUGURATES COMMITTEE ON HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT                                                                                    19-08-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 Yobe State Government has inaugurated a Committee on Human Capital Development, aimed at assisting and identifying means of improving development in the state.

Inaugurating the committee at the Arts and Cultural Center in Damaturu, Governor Mai Mala Buni, represented by his deputy, and the chairman to the committee, Alh Idi Barde Gubana charged its members to be effective in the discharge of their duties to enable the present administration actualise its plans for the people of the state.

Buni reminded members of the committee that much is expected of them by the state government and warned against acts that can hinder the actualisation of positive results from the committee.

The committee is to mainstream relevant initiatives that would drive the state towards achieving its mandate in human capital development in areas of Education, Healthcare, Nutrition, Jobs Creation and Child right among others.

Earlier in his welcome address, the focal person, Human Capital Development in Nigeria, Yobe state chapter, and secretary to the committee, Alhaji Usman Burah, expressed the committees readiness to achieve results for the state government.

Members of the committee are commissioners and permanent secretaries from the Ministries of Budget, Health, Education, Wealth Creation, Youths, Agriculture, Women Affairs, Finance and Donor Agencies.
