ZAMFARA STATE GOVT APPROVES OVER N3.6B FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ULTRAMODERN MARKET IN GUSAU                                                                               10-09-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                     Zamfara State government has approved the construction of a new ultramodern market in Gusau at the cost of over 3.6 billion naira.

The State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Mannir Haidara announced this in a statement made available to Africa247 in Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital.

Alhaji Mannir Haidara explained that, the decision was reached during the State Executive Council meeting under the leadership of Governor Dauda Lawal in Gusau.

According to him, the project, which is valued at over 3.6 billion naira would be executed through a Public-Private Partnership PPP arrangement between the Zamfara State Government and Dhinat Global Ventures Ltd.

Alhaji Haidara stressed that, the project
is scheduled for completion within twelve months.

The Commissioner maintained that, under the terms of the partnership, the State Government’s would provide land for the project and the Council has proposed that, the old Gusau market will serve as the site for the
construction of the state-of-the-art facility.

“This initiative is a critical part of the Government’s broader strategy to enhance commerce, stimulate local economic growth, and provide a conducive environment for business activities in the State”

“The new market will not only serve as a modern trading centre but will also
contribute to job creation and improve the overall economic landscape of
Zamfara State”

“We thank the good people of Zamfara State for their continued support and cooperation, and we look forward to the successful delivery of this project”
