ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN CONCLUDED FOR THE CONDUCT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS IN ANAMBRA STATE                                                                                               27-09-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                    Arrangements have been concluded for the conduct of local government election in Anambra state, tomorrow (Saturday).

The Officer in charge of Information and Publicity in the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission,Chief Anthony Nnalue stated this while briefing news men in Awka.

According to him,all the electoral materials will be distributed to all the twenty one local government areas of the state today (Friday).

He explained that security arrangements had been put in place to ensure adequate protection of lives and the electoral materials during the election.

Chief Nnalue noted also that arrangements had been made to provide polling centers for hard-to-reach communities as well as riverine areas to enable the voters to have access to the polling centers.

The ANSIEC Information and Publicity Officer,assured members of the public that the commission would conduct a free,fair and credible local government election in the area.

Africa247 Correspondent reports that Chief Nnalue told news men that the election would start by eight o’clock in the morning and end by four o’clock in the evening.
