POLICE ARRESTS NOTORIOUS THUG “GUNDURA”, 14 OTHERS IN KANO STATE                                                                            29-10-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                     The Kano State Police Command has apprehended Inuwa Zakari, alias “Gundura”, a 24-year-old notorious thug, along with 14 other suspects.

The public relations officer of the Command SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa disclosed this while parading the suspects to journalist in Kano.

He said Gundura was identified as the mastermind behind the attack on a Vigilante Commander, inflicting life-threatening injuries, and damaging a police vehicle.

“The arrest follows the Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba’s directives to launch aggressive operations against thuggery activities, increase visibility patrols, and enhance intelligence gathering.”

He explained that the move sends a strong message that thuggery and violent crimes will not be tolerated in the state.

SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa noted that the Charges Against Gundura includes
Conspiring with others to attack a Vigilante Commander, Inflicting life-threatening injuries on the Commander and Damaging a police vehicle

The Kano State Police Command reassures residents of its commitment to maintaining law and order, safeguarding, and protecting all residents from threats.

The public relations officer added that the suspects are currently undergoing investigation at the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and will be charged to court to face the full wrath of the law.
