TRANSMISSION COMPANY of NIGERIA TO RESTORE POWER SUPPLY TO THE NORTHERN PART OF THE COUNTRY BEFORE WEEKEND                                                                         29-10-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN is to restore Power supply to the Northern part of the country before the end of this week.

At a News Conference with Journalists in Abuja, the Managing Director of TCN, Mr. Sule Abdulaziz said, following the directive of President Bola Tinubu, the areas affected by acts of vandalism on the nation’s Transmission Lines had been secured and Engineers were working assiduously to restore Electricity to the Northern part of the country within the next Three to Five days.

Also, the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu who was at the News Conference pointed out that, Long and Short Term measures such as response time to Power outages and introduction of a Back-up system were being considered.

Chief Adelabu who appealed to Citizens in the areas affected by the Power outage however emphasized the need for Nigerians to be patriotic by protecting the nation’s infrastructure and reporting suspicious acts around them to relevant Authorities.

There has been Power outage in the Northern part of the country for about Two Weeks which prompted the intervention of the President who directed that, all necessary measures be implored to bring the situation to an end.
