PRESIDENT TINUBU DIRECTS IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF ALL MINORS ARRESTED DURING THE NATIONWIDE “ENDBADGOVERNANCE” PROTEST                                                                                                                                          04-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                               President Bola Tinubu has directed the immediate release of all the minors arrested by the Nigerian Police during the recent nationwide EndBadGovernance protest.

Briefing State House correspondents on the directive, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Muhammad Idris, said the President’s directive was without prejudice to legal process.

He said the President equally directed the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to provide welfare to the minors, and ensure that they were re-united with their families

The Minister explained that the law enforcement agencies that arrested the minors would be investigated, and warned that punishment would meted out if infracrions were identified.
