NEWLY-APPOINTED ZAMFARA STATE COMMISSIONER FOR HEALTH DR NAFISA MOHAMMED MARADUN OUTLINES SIX-POINT AGENDA                                                                                                                    17-12-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                    The newly Zamfara State Commissioner for Health Dr Nafisa Mohammed Maradun has outlined six-point agenda to address the State’s health care challenges.

Dr Nafisa Maradun stated this while addressing staff of the Ministry when she assumed office.

The Commissioner pledged to strengthen the primary Healthcare system, prioritize training and capacity building of Healthcare workers, address Health promotion and disease prevention.

Dr Maradun stressed the need for strategic engagement with stakeholders, assessment of Health system gaps and immediate action to improve service delivery.

She also emphasized the importance of health awareness and community engagement, monitoring and evaluation as well as building institutional capacity.

Dr Nafisa Mohammed Maradun also promised to ensure equitable access to Healthcare services for all residents, regardless of their social status or geographic location.

She expressed gratitude to Governor Lawal and stakeholders for their trust and support, also called for collaborative effort to achieve the state’s health goals.

The Commissioner also announced the establishment of a Central Coordination and Delivery Unit (CCDU) to oversee program implementation and monitoring.
