PRESIDENT TINUBU SAYS HE WILL NOT PROBE THE SERVICE CHIEFS THAT SERVED IN THE BUHARI-LED ADMINISTRATION                                                                                    24-12-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   President Bola Tinubu says he will not probe the Service Chiefs that served in the Buhari-led Administration.

In his maiden media chat, which took place in Lagos, the President emphasised that there was no need probing them.

He acknowledged that there might have been leakages, arguing however that the conditions under which they operated rather required appreciation for their selflessness.

The President stressed that despite the vastness of the country’s topology, resulting in the porosity of its borders, the Service Chiefs did their utmost to safeguard the country’s integrity.

He noted that contrary to speculation, an effective control mechanism was put in place to monitor budgetary releases, noting that funds allocated to the Ministry of Defence were judiciously used.

The President asked the panel of interviewers to give the armed forces credit for what they are doing, stressing that he is proud of what they are doing to date.

President Tinubu said he had confidence in the country’s security architecture, which has brought down the level of insecurity to a manageable proportion.
