NAHCON COMMISSIONER ADVOCATES RENAMING EDO UNIVERSITY AFTER ADAMS OSHIOMOLE                                                                                                                               04-01-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   The Commissioner for Policy, Personnel Management, and Finance at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Prince Abdullrazaq Aliu, has suggested that the recently renamed Edo State University should have been named after the former governor of the state, Comrade Adams Oshiomole.

Prince Aliu made this assertion during an interview with Africa247 in Abuja.

He argued that, considering the significant contributions of Comrade Oshiomole to the educational advancement of Edo State during his tenure as governor, it would have been fitting to honour him in such a manner.

Speaking on Nigeria’s economic situation, Prince Aliu expressed optimism, noting that the solid foundation laid by President Bola Tinubu in recent years has positioned 2025 as a potential harvest period for the country.

“The groundwork has been laid, and Nigerians will soon begin to reap the benefits of these efforts,” he remarked.

The NAHCON commissioner further emphasized the importance of collective efforts in accelerating the nation’s development. He expressed hope that the waiting period for Nigerians would soon be over, urging citizens to unite in driving progress.
