NATIONAL HAJJ COMMISSION OF NIGERIA ANNOUNCES 2025 HAJJ FARE                                                                                             21-01-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has announced the Hajj fare for the 2025 pilgrimage.

In a statement issued by the Assistant Director of Information and Publication, Fatima Sanda Usara says the fare was revealed following approval from the Office of the Vice President Kashim Shettima.

NAHCON’s Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman and his team, in collaboration with the Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties, Malam Ameen Amshi, worked diligently to ensure the fare remained within a similar range to previous years.

Key contributors to this effort, according to the statement included Chairman of the Forum of State Executive Secretaries and Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Malam Idris Ahmad Almakura.

Others are Executive Secretary of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board and Deputy Chairman of the Forum, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Yaro and Executive Secretary of the Adamawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Salihu.
It says these individuals, alongside other stakeholders, who made concerted efforts to prevent a significant increase in costs of the 2025 Hajj fare.

The statement notes that the fare was determined after extensive consultations to ensure inclusivity in the decision-making process.

The approved fares are as follows:

Borno and Adamawa Zone: eight million, three hundred and twenty-seven thousand, one hundred and twenty-five Naira, fifty-nine kobo (₦8,327,125.59).

Southern States: eight million, seven hundred and eighty-four thousand, eighty-five Naira, fifty-nine kobo (₦8,784,085.59).

Northern Zone: eight million, four hundred and fifty-seven thousand, six hundred and eighty-five Naira, fifty-nine kobo (₦8,457,685.59).

Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman commended the entire team, describing the announced fares as the result of extensive collaboration among stakeholders. He also expressed gratitude to the Presidency and the Forum of State Executive Secretaries for their unwavering support.

The Chairman urged intending pilgrims to adhere to Saudi guidelines, prioritise early payment, and register promptly to avoid last-minute complications.
