ABOUT 30,000 HOUSEHOLDS TO BENEFITS FROM RICE DISTRIBUTION IN SOKOTO 12-03-25
By Sadiq Aminu The former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has flagged off the distribution of rice and other items to ov 30,000 households across 23 local government areas of the state.
Flagging off the exercise in Sokoto, Senator Tambuwal expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for witnessing yet another Ramadan and acknowledged the privilege of observing the sacred period.
He emphasised the importance of reflection, generosity and prayers for continued health and prosperity.
Tambuwal who is a Senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial District under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party PDP said the initiative underscores the party commitments to unity, compassion and community support during the holy month.
He lauded the unwavering dedication of the PDP’s leadership in Sokoto State, highlighting their efforts in organising, mobilizing, and strengthening the party.
Senator Tambuwal reaffirmed his commitment to the party’s unity , expressing determination to reclaim their mandate following the previous elections.
Former Governor Tambuwal further commended legislatures elected under the platform of PDP for their dedication to serving their constituency.
He praised their consistent engagement and true leadership, which reflect their commitment to ensuring dividends of democracy to their people.
He also gave special recognition to the younger generation within the party for initiating a program aimed at empowering youth in the state.
He explained that the initiative embodies the true essence of Ramadan, compassion, charity, and unity.
He urged those responsible for distribution to ensure that the aid reaches its rightful beneficiaries, in accordance with the established plan.
Tambuwal appreciated party supporters and stakeholders for their resilience and patience while assuring more dividends of democracy for sustainable development.
Earlier, the State PDP Chairman, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, thanked Senator Tambuwal for the gesture which he said would go a long way in reducing hardship among party members in the state.
He further applauded other party members that extended same gesture to their people.
Goronyo further seeks more unity among party members to ensure landslide victory come 2027 general elections at all level.
