KEBBI SENATORS, MINISTER, STAKEHOLDERS CALLS FOR UNITY AMONG APC MEMBERS 20-05-25
By Sadiq Aminu The three Senators of Kebbi state that defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, have called for Unity among party members in ensuring the success of the party in 2027 elections.
Senator Adamu Aleiro, who spoke on behalf of the Senators made the appeal at a stakeholders meeting organized by the state chapter of the APC held in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.
Senators Aleiro said, their defection from the opposition party PDP to the ruling APC was for the general development of the state.
According to him, a lots of projects are to be executed in Kebbi state but as result of the legislatives are from the opposition party, the projects were denied the state.
On the security situation of the country, Senator Aleiro, started that the government is making all efforts to bring to an end the security challenges and as well to improve on the poverty situation in the country.
The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, stated that for APC supporters to support the success of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Nasiru Idris for their second term comes 2027.
Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State, expressed appreciation for the turnout of the party supporter and the dignitaries in attendance at the meeting.
He called for Unity among the party supporters for the success of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections from the president down to governors and members of the national and state assembly’s.
Those in attendance at the meeting include, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, Senator, Abdullahi Yahaya, Senator Musa Maidoki, members of the national and state assembly’s, former Kebbi State Governor, Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, Director General NAMA and that of HYPERDEC, APC National Organising Secretary, APC stalwarts of the state among others.
