FIRST BATCH OF 558 KWARA STATE PILGRIMS RETURN SAFELY FROM HAJJ 2025 23-06-25
By Sadiq Aminu The first batch of 558 Kwara State pilgrims have returned home safely after completing the year 2025 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The contingent arrived at the Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport, Ilorin, aboard a Max Airline flight at 6:19 a.m. today, led by Hajia Khadijat Otuyo, a Board member of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board.
A Cleric Alhaji Uthman Iyanda-Muhammad (Sannu-Sheu), the “Mufasir Agba” of Ilorin, described this year’s Hajj as “exceptional,” praising the good welfare arrangement by the board for Kwara Pilgrims.
One of the pilgrims, Prince Muhammed Esuwoye dismissed social media rumours claiming that Kwara pilgrims were stranded, he clarified that flight schedules are solely managed by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), not the State Pilgrims Board.
Another pilgrim, Alhaja Magaji Habeebat thanked Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the financial support that eased their stay in Saudi Arabia.
