APC FLAGS OFF SALE OF FORMS FOR NATIONAL ASSEMBLY BYE-ELECTION……………..
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially commenced the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms for the forthcoming National Assembly bye-elections.
The elections are being held to fill vacant legislative positions following the death or resignation of lawmakers who left to pursue executive roles.
Speaking to journalists after purchasing his forms at the APC National Secretariat, Mr. Oscar Aghedo, an aspirant for the Ovia Federal Constituency seat in Edo State, promised to address youth restiveness through agricultural initiatives.
“My constituency is largely agrarian. Empowering youths through agriculture will help reduce restiveness and boost productivity,” he stated.
Also speaking, Mr. Yakubu Waziri, an aspirant for the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, said tackling insecurity would be his top priority if elected. He dismissed claims of a political coalition in the area, describing it as “a coalition of desperate politicians.”
“There’s no coalition in Chikun or anywhere in Kaduna State,” Waziri said. “It is dead on arrival.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is expected to conduct bye-elections for two senatorial seats, five House of Representatives seats, and nine State Assembly seats across 12 states.
