The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Zamfara State, has appealed to government and security agencies to step up efforts in restoring peace for the reopening of boarding schools.
Speaking at the 28th Islamic Vacation Course (IVC) in Gusau, the Ameer of MSSN, Prof. Lawal Sa’ad, said boarding schools are vital for discipline, moral upbringing, and quality education.
Former MSSN National President, Malam Lawal Maidoki, in a lecture, stressed the need to prepare youths with proper guidance and training for the challenges of the 21st century.
Zamfara Commissioner of Education, Wadatau Madawaki, represented by Aminu Muhammad, announced that nine boarding schools, covering science, technology, and entrepreneurship, are set to reopen in the next academic session across the state’s three senatorial zones.
Traditional rulers, including the Emirs of Anka, Kaura Namoda, and Gusau, praised MSSN for engaging students during the long break and pledged support for the society’s efforts in promoting moral and educational growth.
