The Kano State Hisbah Command has intercepted an agent at a motor park along Zaria Road while attempting to traffic 12 women to Lagos.
Deputy Commander General Sheikh Mujahideen Aminuddeen said the women, aged between 15 and 50, had each paid ₦1.5 million to be taken abroad through Lagos, Benin Republic, and Ghana, with a promised visa to Saudi Arabia.
He described the act as “dangerous and unfortunate,” urging parents and guardians to caution young women against such risky journeys.
The suspect and victims have been handed over to NAPTIP for further investigation.
