NCAA WARNS AIRLINES: NO FLIGHTS WITH UNRULY PASSENGERS

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has ordered airlines not to operate flights if there is an unruly passenger on board.
Director-General Captain Chris Najumo, represented by Michael Achimugu, said the move follows rising cases of harassment against cabin crew. He stressed that no pilot should take off until such passengers are removed or the matter resolved.
Najumo reminded travelers that while they have rights as customers, they also owe airlines courtesy and compliance. He condemned attacks on crew members and warned that defiance of safety instructions, such as using phones during flights, will not be tolerated.
He assured airlines of NCAA’s full support in protecting crew and addressing service-related concerns, emphasizing that operators will not stand alone in handling disruptive behavior.
