PRESIDENT TINUBU FELICITATES ETSU NUPE AT 73 AND 22 YEARS ON THE THRONE

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, on his 73rd birthday and 22nd anniversary on the throne.
The President praised the first-class monarch for his patriotic service to the nation and outstanding leadership within Nigeria’s traditional institutions.
Before ascending the throne in 2003 as the 13th Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Abubakar had a distinguished career in the military, retiring as a Brigadier-General after serving in key operational roles.
President Tinubu commended the monarch’s contributions to nation-building, describing him as a bridge-builder who has consistently promoted unity, peace, religious tolerance, harmony, and reconciliation across the country.
The President prayed for Etsu Nupe’s long life, greater wisdom, and a reign marked by continued peace and prosperity for the Nupe Kingdom.
