NATASHA TRIAL STALLED IN ABUJA COURT

The cybercrime trial of suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, was stalled today at the Federal High Court, Abuja, after her lawyers challenged the court’s jurisdiction.
The defence argued that the case reflected an abuse of the Attorney General’s prosecutorial powers and also raised issues about not receiving witness statements.
Although the prosecution was ready to present its first witness, Justice Mohammed Umar ruled that the objection must be resolved first. The case was adjourned to October 20.
