By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi) has extended its free CNG conversion training to members of the Association of Nigerian Artisans and Technicians (ASNAT).

Executive Chairman, Ismael Ahmed, said the training supports President Bola Tinubu’s drive to promote clean energy and transform Nigeria’s automobile industry. Speaking at the 2025 Nigerian Artisans and Technicians Fair in Abuja, Ahmed, represented by Mrs. Omolara Obileye highlighted the vital role of artisans and technicians in national growth.

The Industrial Training Fund DG, Dr. Afiz Oluwatoyin, stressed the need to upgrade artisans’ skills to global standards, while ASNAT’s National Coordinator, Comrade Adeshina Akinyemi, called for more government and stakeholder support.

Stakeholders also emphasized mentorship as key to sustainability in the sector.
