KALU CONDEMNS LAGOS TRADE FAIR DEMOLITION, URGES TINUBU’S INTERVENTION

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has criticized the demolition of buildings at the Lagos Trade Fair Complex, describing it as heartbreaking.

Speaking in Aba during a reception for President Bola Tinubu after the commissioning of several roads by Governor Alex Otti, Kalu appealed to the President to intervene and allow affected traders to regularize their documents instead of losing their properties.

He also urged the Federal Government to develop ports in the South East to strengthen the region’s economy.

Kalu praised Governor Otti’s achievements and commended President Tinubu for removing fuel subsidy, saying the move has provided states with more funds for development.
