The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has produced nearly 90,000 driver’s licences within two weeks of full-scale operation at its Lagos Mini Print Farm.
Corps Marshal Mallam Shehu Mohammed, represented by Deputy Corps Commander Olawale Kareem, said the milestone covers Lagos and other South-West states.
He explained that production began on October 8, and by October 20, the centre had printed over 65,000 licences for Lagos and 20,000 for neighbouring states.
Kareem noted that the new high-speed printing machines can produce a licence in less than 20 seconds, with the facility capable of printing over 1,800 licences per hour.
He added that staff now work round-the-clock to meet demand, while state licensing offices handle the distribution to applicants.
According to him, each licence is indexed with a video code for easy tracking, ensuring applicants receive them without delay.
Mallam Shehu affirmed that the facility runs smoothly with stable network connectivity from dual service providers.
