Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Benjamin Kalu, has welcomed over 100 members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Obingwa, Abia State.
The event took place during the inauguration of the Renewed Hope Partners (RHP), which drew a large crowd of supporters.
Kalu praised the defectors for embracing the APC and supporting President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Led by former PDP State Secretary Mr. Ibe Nwadioha, the new members pledged full support for Tinubu, Kalu, and the APC, saying their move signaled a major political shift in the area.
Nwadioha declared that his defection marked “the collapse of other political parties in Obingwa,” describing it as a new era of change.
In appreciation, APC stakeholders in Obingwa honored Dr. Kalu for his outstanding efforts toward the socio-economic growth of the South East region.
