NIGERIA AND MEXICO BOOST TRADE AND DIPLOMATIC TIES

Nigeria and Mexico have taken a major step to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations through the inaugural Consultation Mechanism held at Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Ministry in Abuja. The meeting, co-chaired by Nigeria’s Ambassador Dunoma Umar Ahmed and Mexico’s Ambassador Aníbal Gómez Toledo, marked a milestone in the 50-year partnership between the two nations.
Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation across trade, politics, legal frameworks, and multilateral engagement. The consultations highlighted plans for increased business exchanges, strategic dialogue, and collaboration on global platforms like the UN and G-20. The next session of the mechanism is set to take place in Mexico, signaling continued partnership and mutual growth.
