Anambra Police have arrested a notorious armed robber, Ugochukwu Uzor, during a raid by the Rapid Response Squad in Ogbaru. The 26-year-old suspect, injured during a confrontation, was caught with a locally made Beretta pistol and live ammunition.
Police say Uzor, known for his violent record, confessed to leading multiple criminal gangs across Anambra and nearby states. He also admitted involvement in the abduction and murder of Assembly member Azuka Justice last December.
The command described the arrest as a major breakthrough in dismantling criminal networks in the state.
