GOV. YUSUF APPOINTS PROF. AMINA BAYER0 AS NWU VICE CHANCELLOR

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the appointment of Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero as the new Vice Chancellor of Northwest University, Kano, for a five-year term beginning December 1, 2025.
According to his spokesperson, the decision followed a transparent selection process by the University Council. Governor Yusuf praised the council for upholding merit and urged prayers for the new VC as she takes office.
Prof. Bayero, a distinguished Analytical Chemistry scholar and the first female Chemistry PhD holder from BUK, has previously served as HOD, Dean of Science, and Deputy Vice Chancellor at Yusuf Maitama Sule University.
