TINUBU HOLDS CLOSED-DOOR TALKS WITH KADUNA, BENUE, CROSS RIVER GOVERNORS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday met behind closed doors with the governors of Kaduna, Benue and Cross River states at the State House, Abuja, in consultations linked to security and governance concerns.

The governors met the President separately, with discussions believed to center on addressing security challenges, advancing development priorities and strengthening cooperation between the federal government and the states. Kaduna and Benue continue to grapple with insecurity in rural areas, while Cross River is focused on border security and economic growth.

The meetings reflect President Tinubu’s ongoing engagement with state leaders as part of efforts to find collaborative solutions to national security, governance and socio-economic issues. No official statement was released after the talks.
