NDLEA WARNS OF RISING ILLEGAL DRUG FARMS IN ADAMAWA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has raised alarm over the increasing cultivation and organised distribution of illicit drugs in parts of Adamawa State, describing the trend as a serious threat to public safety and the future of young people.

Speaking in Yola, the NDLEA said recent intelligence-led operations uncovered illegal drug farms and supply networks, showing a level of organisation that goes beyond isolated criminal activity. The agency noted that intensified operations have led to major seizures, arrests and the disruption of drug routes across the state.

The NDLEA urged residents to support the fight against drug abuse by remaining vigilant and reporting suspicious activities, stressing that protecting communities and youths requires collective action. The agency reaffirmed its resolve to crack down on traffickers and eliminate illegal drug cultivation in Adamawa.
