POLICE LAUNCH CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN AGAINST CULTISM, DRUG ABUSE IN BAYELSA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Bayelsa State Police Command has launched a Christmas campaign aimed at curbing cultism, drug abuse and other social vices, as part of efforts to ensure a safe and crime-free Yuletide.

Under the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices, officers took to the streets of Yenagoa, engaging residents and traders with messages promoting peace, safety and responsible conduct during the festive season. The campaign stressed the dangers of cultism and illicit drugs, warning that such acts threaten public safety and community stability.

The Police urged citizens to embrace positive values, remain vigilant and support security efforts by reporting suspicious activities, noting that collective responsibility is key to a peaceful Christmas celebration.
