OTTI VOWS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOR ABIA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Abia State Governor Alex Otti says his administration remains committed to delivering sustainable development despite the challenges inherited from past governments. Speaking during the December edition of his monthly media parley in Umuahia, the governor said steady progress has been recorded across key sectors, with notable improvements in healthcare and education.

Governor Otti highlighted ongoing investments in public schools and smart education initiatives, while noting that free electric bus services are already easing transportation and promoting environmental sustainability across major routes in the state. He added that the programme will expand in the coming months.

The governor also disclosed progress in power supply, security, and industrial revival, expressing optimism over efforts to restore electricity to communities and revive key industries in Aba and Owerrinta. He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Abia.
