NIGERIA UNVEILS FIRST PAVILION AT WEF DAVOS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Vice President Kashim Shettima has commissioned Nigeria’s first-ever pavilion at the World Economic Forum in Davos, describing it as a major milestone in the country’s global economic engagement.

At the opening of Nigeria House, Shettima said the Tinubu administration’s reforms are yielding results, with steady economic growth driven largely by the non-oil sector, rising government revenues, easing inflation and stronger foreign reserves. He noted that Nigeria is now better positioned to engage investors and shape global economic conversations.

The Vice President called on global investors to use Nigeria House as a hub for partnership, dialogue and long-term collaboration. The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, also said the pavilion reflects renewed confidence in Nigeria’s economy and stronger public-private cooperation.

The event drew top government officials, business leaders and investors, reinforcing Nigeria’s renewed push on the global economic stage.
