HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TASK FG, STATE GOVERNMENTS TO PREVENT SPREAD OF CHOLERA                                                                                                                                          02-07-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  The house of Representatives has urged the Federal Government and State Governments to take urgent steps to curtail the Spread of Cholera across the States of the Federation.

There has been concerns and worries since the outbreak of Cholera recently which has claimed the lives of several Nigerians.
It is on this note that the House of Representatives in an urgent motion of public importance moved by the minority leader, Mr Kingsley Chinda called for urgent needs to prevent the spread of the disease which had dare consequences on the wellbeing of Nigerians.

Mr. Chinda called on FG and State governments to take proactive measures in tackling the disease and prevent its spread.
On the recent suicide bomb blast that claimed the lives of 30 young people at Gwoza in Borno State, a member representing Gwoza Chibok Federal Constituency of Borno State Ahmadu Jaha, in a motion, revealed that the suicide Bombers were brought in from somewhere wearing the same uniform known as Anko.

A member representing Kebbe Tambuwal Federal Constituency of Sokoto State, Mr. Abdussamad Dasuki, called on President Bola Tinubu to sack any Heads of Security agencies who has failed to deliver on their mandates.
According to the member representing Kanke Pakshin Kanam Federal Constituency of Plateau State Yusuf Gagdi, until People are held accountable for their negligence, insecurity would continue to persist.
The House while adopting the motion referred the matter to the House Committee on National Security and Intelligence for further legislative action.
A Bill to Change Sabon Gari Local Government Area to Zaria North Local Government Area also passed through second reading.
