LAGBAJA’S BODY: TEARS FLOWED CEASELESSLY AS THE REMAINS OF LATE LEITENANT GENERAL TAOEREED LAGBAJA, LEFT LAGOS TO ABUJA                                                                                        14-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 Tears flowed ceaselessly this morning at the Nigerian Air Force airport Wing as the remains of the Chief of Army Staff, the late Leitenanat General Taoereed Lagbaja, left Lagos to Abuja.

The body was conveyed by NAF Aircraft C130H, 301 Heavy Airlift NAF 918.
With Air Commodore A.O. Bamidele, Group Captain O.F. Bankole, Squadron Leader F.M. Mangar Squadron Leader E.A.Dansah as well as Flight Leitenanat A.M. Isah while the Captain of the Flight was Captain E.A Dansah.
At the NAF Airport Base to bid the body of the late General were the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, some top State Executives , Family members, close Associates as well very senior Armed Forces members while Wivesos Senior Officers also turned in number, to pay their last respect to. a Man, whom many say , wears an epitome of professionalism and service, to the Nigerian Army.

Full Military honours were accorded the late General at the Lagos Airport while the rest of the burial ceremonies are billed for Abuja, where he will be interred later.
Lieutenant General Lagbaja died some weeks ago after a brief illness in a foreign Hospital.
He will be remembered for his invaluable commitment to ensuring professionalism in the Nigerian Army.
