EKITI STATE GOVERNMENT CANCELLS WORK-FROM-HOME POLICY, INTRODUCED TO CUSHION THE EFFECTS OF THE CURRENT ECONOMIC SITUATION ON WORKERS                                                                                     10-01-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Ekiti State Government has cancelled Work-From-Home Policy, which was introduced to cushion the effects of the current economic situation on workers in the state.

This follow the payment of the new National minimum wage which reflected on Ekiti workers December 2024 salary and generally appreciated through their jubilation.

A statement by the State Head of Service, Dr. Folakemi Olomojobi directed all workers irrespective of grade level in the public service of Ekiti State to resume their normal duties from Monday to Friday as expected.

The statement however appreciates government significant investment in the welfare of workers and notable contributions to the nation’s economy.

The policy, which commenced on September 9, 2024, and was extended to January 11, 2025, allowed workers to work from home for one to three days a week, depending on their grade levels.
