NIGERIAN ARMY TO ESTABLISH A SPECIAL MILITARY TRAINING SCHOOL IN NASARAWA STATE                                                                                                                                              12-02-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Nigerian Army has finalized plans to establish a special military training school in Nasarawa State as part of efforts to enhance troop capacity and ensure sustained operational effectiveness.

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olafemi Oluyede, disclosed this during a working visit to the 4 Special Forces Command in Doma, Nasarawa State.

The visit marked his first official engagement with the command since his confirmation as Chief of Army Staff by President Bola Tinubu in December 2024. It provided an opportunity to interact with troops and inspect key infrastructure within the barracks.

Addressing the soldiers, Lieutenant General Oluyede reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to continuous personnel and infrastructure development to effectively tackle evolving security challenges across the country.

He emphasized that the Nigerian Army has intensified efforts to eliminate criminal elements, particularly banditry, kidnapping, and other threats to national unity.

The Army Chief urged the troops to remain steadfast, dedicated, and professional in defending Nigeria’s territorial integrity. He also assured them that their welfare remains a top priority to ensure optimal performance.

As part of his visit, Lieutenant General Oluyede inaugurated several key projects, including the official residence of the 404 Engineers Brigade Regimental Sergeant Major and the General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja House for a stand-by platoon.
