VC IBB UNIVERSITY  SEEKS STRONGER PARTNERSHIP WITH ARCN TO ADVANCE AGRICULTURE……..

The Vice Chancellor of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai, Prof. Muhammad Suleiman Hadi has called for stronger collaboration with the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) to boost agricultural research and innovation.

Speaking during VC’s visit to the ARCN, Prof. Muhammad emphasized that despite earlier disruptions caused by insecurity, the institution remains open and committed to meaningful partnerships that will address national challenges in food security and agricultural development.

He identified critical areas such as soil science, water management, and crop research where joint efforts could make significant impact. The VC also proposed the creation of a Center for the Industrialization of Indigenous Food Processing in Africa, which would be the first of its kind.

According to him, the center will serve as a hub for innovation and technology transfer, enhance food security, and stimulate economic growth by transforming local food processing techniques into large-scale industrial ventures.
