MCO, CAC PARTNER TO BOOST TRANSPARENCY AND COMPLIANCE

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Mining Cadastre Office (MCO) has pledged to work with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to strengthen transparency, efficiency, and good governance in Nigeria’s mining and corporate sectors.

MCO’s Director-General, Obadiah Simon Nkom, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to CAC Registrar-General, Hussain Ishaq Magagi, in Abuja. He noted that the partnership aligns with MCO’s push for digitization, improved revenue generation, and enhanced regulatory services through its eMC+ system.

Magagi highlighted CAC’s upgraded facilities, including AI-driven company screening, stressing the Commission’s role in promoting accountability. Both agencies sealed the collaboration with an exchange of plaques as a symbol of commitment.
