By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Participants of the National Defence College Course 34 visited Kebbi State, highlighting its strong agro-industrial prospects and pledging to submit strategic recommendations on national security, agriculture, and natural resources.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Emir of Gwandu, Commodore A.A. Abu said the college is committed to grooming strategic leaders capable of addressing Nigeria’s evolving defence and security challenges. He noted that Course 34 includes participants from Tanzania and Gabon.

The Emir of Gwandu, Major General Muhammad Iliyasu Bashar (Rtd), urged the participants to stay patriotic, innovative, and committed to building a secure and productive nation.

The team also commended Governor Nasir Idris for advancing agriculture in the state, especially in rice, onions, and other cash crops.

The five-day study tour ends on Saturday.
